Volunteering with Lori’s Hands has truly been one of the highlights of my time at UD. Meeting Helen and learning about her life has been an inspiring, invaluable experience. Thank you to Lori’s Hands for giving me the opportunity to share my experiences and for creating this amazing partnership!

This winter, I had the honor of participating in an immersive 3-week medical shadowing experience through the University of Delaware and partner company Atlantis in Athens, Greece. I was able to observe healthcare professionals within the C’ Internal Medicine Department and the Surgical Emergency Department at Evangelismos Hospital as well as the C’ Orthopedics Department at KAT Attica General Hospital. A special thank you to my professors, Atlantis program directors Efi Panousi and Panagiotis Koufos, as well as all of the doctors and nurses who made this such an educational, one-of-a-kind experience. I learned so much about the field of healthcare and am forever grateful for this opportunity.
